Be Kind to One Another

"and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you." Ephesians‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

Some time ago, as I pulled into the parking lot of a local restaurant to pick up my lunch, I saw this incredible couple. I just sat there and watched for what felt like ten minutes watching this lady lovingly tie her husband's shoe. It was clear that he was no longer capable of bending down to tie his own shoe at that moment. He wasn't grumpy, and she wasn't bothered by the request. Neither of them even said a word. What an incredible example of kindness!

Like Paul's charge to the church at Ephesus, we are called to "be kind to one another." Our hearts are to be sensitive toward the needs of others.

Today, what act of kindness has God placed right before you? It might be a huge sacrifice or more than likely, it will be something that feels insignificant but will profoundly impact someone else's day. Either way, through the power of the Holy Spirit, your act of kindness has the ability to point someone to Jesus.
